[ A Add another number to the newbie arrival for this month. Red thankfully has friendly company to help him realise what the heck is on his back, and also to rip some holes in his shirt so he can stop wearing nothing over his chest. He's carrying the rest of the clothes though, he's not messing around with changing out in a forest at this time.
Maybe you're lurking around in the forest for whatever, and wow what is that big thing you see through the trees? Or wow, what's that faint, pleasant smell in the air?
But they'll also be found in the town, with the boy and his three pokémon finding themselves led there thanks to a good pair of ears.
They're free to approach, or maybe Red will approach your character should they not seem to be in a rush. ]
Uh, excuse me?
[ B A little trouble may or may not occur. Did somebody say something about Luceti and cookies??? Who's cooking? Because that aforementioned big round guy? Red was led to the town by Pikachu's ears and Snorlax's impressive Food Is Here senses. So if anybody is baking right now, the snorlax might juuust try to circle around your house (or wherever it is you're cooking), to try and find the source and how to get to the source.
What is that shadow creeping outside your kitchen window? What is that rattling on your door knob? Are you not even in a house with food? Well, you may not be so alone for long...
Hi, sexy food havers.
Restaurants are also not safe. ]

[ Red may or may not really get this thing already. Either way he, with maybe the head of one of his pokémon peeking at the side, will be looking at the book in bewilderment. ]
Uh... Hello?
[ A+ work, Red. ]

Uh... Hello?
[ A+ work, Red. ]
[As he explains, Red's eyes look elsewhere, likely to the options now available on his page. There's a complicated expression on his face.
...Until it lightens up, and he looks back to the video feed with a smile.] But it really sent you what I said? That's pretty amazing. It looks just like a book!
Of course it did, we wouldn't be talking if it didn't! But yeah, for looking like books the journals are pretty neat. [It's probably the closest he'll ever get to think any sort of book is interesting in some way-] I guess your world didn't have anything like this then, huh?
[He's messing with the corner of the journal page he's on now, curious.] Hey, if I turn the page, will that cut you off?
Uh, I guess it would? Lots of people close their journals when they're done talking, so if you turn away I guess that's the same thing. I'd be looking at nothing until you turned back to the first page with the cameras and everything else on it, I think.
Heck, let's throw even a pikachu onto the boy's shoulder, too. why not.
Would you like to ask that question amongst all this, Caius?]
Both of those monsters are yours, right? And they understand what you're saying?
[He points a finger to the pikachu.] This is Pikachu- [He puts the finger away, and puts his hands around the ivysaur] -and this is Saur.
He lifts a hand up to the journal to say hello to the mons.] Hey there Pikachu and Saur... Uh, and you too! [Since he's said hi properly to the pokémon but not the trainer himself yet.] I'm Caius.
Heheh, I'm Red. [He nods his head, grinning at the introductions.] Oh yeah, and this is Snorlax!
[Suddenly, Red lifts up the journal high up above his head. There's only a dark blue to begin with, but then he shifts the journal, and there's a large face peering downwards at the screen, not sure what to make of the book Red's interested in. (nobody knows what to make of this journal.]
Snorrlaax.
I've never seen a Pokémon that big before. There are some monsters back home that are around it's- Uh, Snorlax's size though.
[It's the most amazing thing.]
I've fought Spots that have been big enough to stop people leaving cities before, they're these creatures that can come in lots of sizes, some even bigger than your Snorlax. [Not that he's trying to one up Red or anything. Nope.] So if Snorlax is with you now then that means you caught him, right? With one of those balls trainers use.
That's right! But I can't find my pokéballs right now. Somebody told me to try a shop? So I was going to do that... [Though he's not sure if he can really put a pokémon in a new ball???]
But what's a Spot look like? Can you catch them? I bet they're not as big as onix are. They're humongous.
The item shop normally gets in all sorts of things so you might be able to find them there, yeah. [Its where he's found a few of his things in the past, so why not pokeballs?] And Spots are huge dark looking monsters, but some of them are pretty small too, they come in all sorts of sizes. There might be a Spot out there that's as big as an Onix, or bigger! [...] But you wouldn't want to try catching one, defeating them is better.
[He's not sure why anyone would ever want to keep a Spot, that's like practically asking the Spot to turn your body into a nest for more Spots.]
[It's not like Spots really die anyway, they just sort of... Sink into the floor. But still, the point is it's better to get rid of them.]
And you can't just fight a Spot off so it leaves you alone, they'll keep attacking you unless you defeat them or you run for it!
[...] Why do you care so much anyway?
And some of them can suck energy from you too! Saur here can! [He nods his head to the pokémon in his lap.] But if you caught one, couldn't you learn more about them?
If you tried catching a Spot then more would just show up, or they would take over your body. You can't talk to them or reason with them!
So he tries pausing, and thinking for a second or so...]
I don't get it! [That's what he decides to settle on, huffing a little as he looks down at the ivysaur on his lap who's looking back at him.] But you get it, so I guess it doesn't matter if I do. I dunno!
[He's not entirely conceding, even if he can get that he doesn't understand - because even if he knows that his head is just too jumbled, and there's still a part of him that wants to heavily disagree. It's hard fighting against that side.]
If you saw one for yourself you'd get it then! [That would be a lot easier than trying to explain how much of a pain Spots are.] But even if you don't, there's gonna be lots of stuff you get about Pokémon and things where you're from that I won't get. [...] Stuff like how Pokémon can fit in those balls when they're so tiny.
Well, and even though Caius is talking about it. Doesn't mean he can't still have a bit of a sulky face about it. (Don't worry big baby, Saur will smell pretty for you and calm you all up.)]
I dunno. [He's still mostly focusing on Saur on his lap, but glances to the journal now and then.] They turn small, then they get bigger again when you press them. I don't get how pokéballs work either.
[Today has been too long of a day.]
