Hi. Does anyone know how people make perfumes? Or the sticks that you burn and they give off smells.

And... I want to know about plants and medicines too! So if anyone knows just send me a message, okay? I don't want to know everything, just one or two things. Thanks.

Hi, can I meet with someone who can make a ball of water without it touching anything? I want to try an attack on it, so - if you don't care about water exploding and you have a free hour sometime, let me know! Thanks!

[ For the day (or even a few days before or after), Red can be found in a few number of places. First are trips into the bakery, grocery shop, convenience store -- heck, he'll visit all of the coffee/tea/restaurants/places that look like they serve food in them (oh, maybe he'll get a glimpse of that beautiful lady today...!). He shall also be carrying Very Big Bags that food is going in. After that - or somewhere in all of that, whenever the place opens - is a visit to the flower shop, the boy look at the flowers with his pikachu on his shoulder but really, he's waiting to see someone who runs it!

After that and grabbing a quick bite to eat is a visit to the Willow Tree, and then a visit to the Farmlands to see if there's anything to be done and to check in on Luke Skywalker's bantha Hamal. Doesn't matter if you're back to seeing him Luke, Red and him are bros. Red's pokémon Venusaur is out as always around this time (and everyone else, though those guys are eating), at a section of the ground with her multiple vines on the ground. Her flower is glowing softly, and the ground around her is actually poking out with small dots of green... is that grass? And do the plants in front of her look more grown?

Later on comes his training with a few people, as well as going to the Battle Dome when a room's available. Except there the trainer isn't always going to be inside, instead watching over them from the viewable pane on the second floor. (Hey is that Vegeta?? THAT GUY...) But there will be times when he's in there as well. Hey man who knows.

Considering the type of training they've been undertaking though, Red's not going to be at the battle dome the whole day -- his pokémon will need the rest. They'll take a walk into the forest, whether joined at whatever moment by Snorlax and Venusaur (Pikachu is an always, though the little mouse may be up in the trees at the time), sometimes stopping so that they can just chill. Red might be taking advantage of that whole just relaxing thang, but he may be testing out some tricks with the spells he's learnt. One of those will be creating a ball of light and then chucking it, bouncing it to go far - and then making it go in a flash of light at his command. What a nice waste of time.

And let's just throw in some other options too! Maybe they're on this day or a day before. Screw the rules of time. Training is an important thing for the trainer, and Red likes to make use of the open land once people get out of the forest towards the mountains. Nice and spacious, though sometimes he makes use of the teleporter to the hot springs to test the mountain ground as well.

Because they want to make some earthquakes, though trying to be mindful of other people around. With their training these days focusing more and more on how one uses their energy to cause bigger damage, getting it to do more than just shake the ground is worth testing out, and there's a different between the dirty earth and the rocky stone of the mountains...

(Gonna try hopping off if they hear anything suspicious approaching though! Yeah buddy we're talking about you. You know who you are.)

And then some days there's a visit to the beach. Big bird Lugia, are you going to be helping with that sometimes? Or at least a ride back to the village? Thanks bro. Because they've been having test matches against each other, Red's three pokémon against such an astounding legendary of the sea. And when they're not fighting? It's chilling on the beach together, Red with his journal out to read to the oversized seagull.

Or a Snorlax might be punching the water. Or kicking it. The sand too. Who even likes sand. ]

[ Red makes sure to turn the book around to face her when he's written down what he wants to say! As for what Ginia gives back to him, that makes sense - Luceti really put a change on everything to what a person knew?

And reading the part about gods makes the boy smile to himself. ]

Do you want a wish or really good luck? [ ... Oh, let's add on some more before turning it to Ginia. ] Can another person help? I tried making them at school but I messed them up. I think I made 2 that didn't look funny
but origami is cool [ ... ] and a thousand is a lot alone

[ Of course, Blue likely thought differently. ]

[Traditionally, one person was supposed to make all the cranes for the wish to hold, but Ginia couldn't hold to tradition when she didn't even know what she wanted. It was a project, a way to stay busy. And really, how could she say no to Red?]

Sure. Grab a piece of paper, I'll show you how to fold one.

[ And that smile grows! Pikachu's hopped onto the table with a thump to watch on a space that isn't busy with stuff on it, and Red does as he's told and grabs a paper. If Ginia's going to show him what to do by example, he's ready!!

They've got no rush to be anywhere! ]

[Ginia patiently goes through each step, showing by example, stopping or repeating a fold if there's any confusion. It's not the easiest thing to fold, but there's plenty of time to learn.

As she teaches Red, she remembers Shinohara teaching her how to fold origami cranes, then her teaching Natalie in turn. And even knowing it was pointless to wonder, she muses on how they're doing. Was Shinohara still chief of security? How was Natalie doing in Taiwan?

Her smile fades and her expression hangs in contemplative sadness as she tugs the wings on a newly formed paper crane.]

[ That's the thing about school. It's a teacher trying to teach a group of people than just one on one, going through the instructions and the leaving the children with the written instructions to follow if they get lost, but forgetting everything that was showing because you're too excited or hasty to get to the end was... a common conclusion.

It was like that for everyone, wasn't it? Wasn't it?

But Red follows as closely as he can, getting stuck on some parts but having Ginia's help to get through it. He does catch her changed expression, but to Red it looks like concentration.

A completed crane sits on the table, and Red stares at it with a childish smile on his lips for a good moment. He then pokes it with a finger over to Pikachu, who pokes it to turn this way and that with a nail. ]

It's a crane. [ Whisper whisper! He sits a finger close to it, an idea that forms in his head. ]

D'you think you could hide messages in them? [ He's forgotten about the writing idea for now, using a low voice. ]

[Getting caught in the past, forgetting to move on in the present, getting left behind by the future. It was the same problem. But when Red finishes the crane, Ginia focuses back on the now and smiles approvingly. At his question, she nods, adding her crane to the basket before picking up her phone.]

You could if you wrote on one side of the paper and made sure to fold it inside.

[ Well then. That sounds like something to try and do! Red takes another sheet of paper, trying to guess at where to write so it'll be hidden inside, but despite that he just folded a crane a second ago? Uh... ]

Can you help me fold another one...? [ eheh. ]

[Ginia nods and grabs another piece of paper. As an afterthought, Ginia grabs a pen from her bag and writes her own message ("Be happy and have a good life, Natalie") in the center of the unpatterned side of the paper. Then she goes through the steps again. It's understandable it'll take a few tries to remember how to fold a crane from memory.]

[ He catches her write down, but he won't ask it about it right then. He will, however, just try with this piece of paper to place a message where he guesses it might hide (by hoping he got it in the same place Ginia did -- and a simple "good luck" for anyone).

From there he watches Ginia all over again, being mindful of each fold and press. It's fickly too to do, but this time seems to go smoother.

And when he looks for what he wrote, he can't see it. That gives Red an idea, written into his journal and turned around for Ginia to see. ]

Do you think we can write a thousand wishes?

["If wishes were fishes the world would never starve." It's a jaded, cynical thought, but Ginia's old and seen too much. At the same time, optimism and hope keeps the world living and maybe sometimes it's okay to put things in the hands of others.]

I think that's possible, though we should ask more people then. Or leave some paper, a box, and directions on how to fold cranes so people can make their own.

Do you think people would want to? A thousand wishes is going to be hard to think up [ ... ] but they don't have to be big wishes. Some for ourself and for people we know. Or a memory

[ He stops there, looking at what he's written and considering it. Yeah it might e childish, but a thousand cranes for a wish --

Adding a bit more, Red turns it over at the same time he reaches for another piece of paper, looking down at the coloured sheet to focus on, a slightly bashful look on his face.]

I know that sounds stupid but I think if you're making them for a wish or good luck it makes each one more special. Probably

[Oh Red. Ever earnest. Ginia takes her time reading and thinking over his questions before typing up her response.]

I think we can leave it up to people. They could write a wish or a message to someone, or a name. Maybe once a thousand are made, it'll bring some luck to the village.

[ Maybe. Red accepts that, sliding the phone back over to her without anything to give in return for it but a small smile. He was sold a lot on the idea of little messages inside the cranes, and he could try making some now, maybe some later too in his spare time. He hadn't even thought about the names of people in the village though, but that was a nice thought too.

He'll try beginning this next crane without instruction, writing in it before letting his fingers feel for where to begin.

[Something to think over. Maybe it'll be a nice project for the village, maybe bring a little luck and happiness to everyone. That said, Ginia is still determined to fold a thousand herself.

The anniversary of her death, of her parent's deaths, was coming up. Maybe she'd find some answers by then.

She grabs another piece of paper and pens a message before folding it up.

'I love you, Erika. I miss you.'

Halfway through folding the crane, Ginia pauses to type out a question.]

Any legends about things that bring good luck or grant wishes from your world?

Apparently Red had meant it when bringing up about only putting in a name for a wish. Or, it was more to be about good luck, something that only he and the crane (and Ginia) would get. Wishes were rather had to think about, but he still wanted to leave something inside of them.

And there was something nice about doing something where he could bring up those from his world, and he never had any real desire to speak about the people themselves. Well, maybe sometimes, but...

Red doesn't notice Ginia typing away, not until the phone comes to him. That question, hm... ]

I think there's pokémon like that...? [ Want to try and let him think? ]

[A pokemon for everything (and with over 700 different kinds it's not far off). Though Ginia patiently waits for him to continue on as she finishes folding her crane. She grabs another piece of paper and mulls over what to write before settle for her mother's name.]

[ Hmm, he's trying to think... ]

There.... there's chanseys? People say that if you're lucky they'll give you their eggs to eat... [ he looks back to Ginia ] And they're really big too! I've seen one!

[ -- oops did he raise his voice? Hand to mouth (wait that's stupid too, now you're blushing, Red). ]

[Being given an egg to eat as a sign of good luck seems a bit morbid, but people eat chicken and duck eggs all the time without any issues. And his voice may have gotten loud, but there's no one else around so it's okay.]

How about bad luck? In my world, there's a superstition you'll have bad luck if a black cat crosses your path.

[ Oh, this one is a little more easy... ]

Gastlys and haunters, I think. They're attracted to trouble. [ But he tilts his head. ] I don't think that's a legend though. [ .. ] But it's pretty bad luck to be stuck in a tower full of them.

[Ginia's beginning to notice a very literal and common naming trend with Pokemon.]

Going to go on a limb and guess they're ghost types. Is there really a tower full of them?

[ Oh, he didn't say that, did he? Red nods, but there's a way his expression lowers some with his mind going back to that place. ]

The town people told me there's not usually so many, but it was packed when I visited it. Mediums were trying to deal with them, but most of the ones I met in there were possessed by the pokémon.

...I met an actual ghost there too. [ there was a moment of hesitation before Red admits that, and yet considering what he says after, a small smile creeps back onto Red's face, even though there's a tinge of sadness to it ] But she moved on.

[ and, a tiny huff of a laugh ] If you believe me.

[Ginia remembers an earlier conversation with Red, about Team Rocket and a grave site where ghosts were possessing and attacking people. So even if the idea of a real ghost (as opposed to a ghost pokemon) is strange to imagine, especially coming from a world with nothing supernatural or paranormal at all, it's believable. Red's an honest kid.

Besides, she already met a ghost on the draft and knew someone that was a death god so hey.]

I believe you. I'm glad the ghost could move on.

[ He almost wants to talk about her, how she was a marowak, a mother, but he's not sure that it's the time or right to do it. But he's happy reading the words, turning the phone back to her after. ]

I never believed in ghosts before.... would you have believed in ghosts before you came here?

[Ginia's quick to respond with a shake of her head. There were all sorts of shows and books about haunted places and ghosts. They made for good stories and entertaining late night TV but there was nothing substantial.]

No such thing in my world, though I guess a lot of things common in other worlds don't exist in mine.

Ghosts aren't common in my world... [ He wonders if she knows about them, but she does obviously does, so- ] Don't you have ghost exist at all back in your world?
