[ Nothing interesting on the video feed here, just a black-haired boy with his pikachu's head poking from the bottom of the screen. ]
Hi, my name's Red. I've got a couple of questions... I wanted to ask about first aid and the battle dome, and also if there's anybody that knows about fixing things? [ He looks away ] I don't have anything broken, but I wanted to have something looked at.
[ Right, anyway. Back to the screen. ]
But with the first aid... I was wondering if anyone had the time to help me see if I know what I'm doing? I got taught how to put on bandages a long time ago, but I don't think I was doing it right the last time I did it.
[ Maybe it had been fine, but a refresher would be good either way. ]
Anyway, then the battle dome - I wanted to know about what fighters train against in there. [ This was going to be hard, but ] I know people here have different abilities, and what we can handle is different too. I've tried creatures not from my world, but I guess...
[ What does he guess? He thinks, pinching his bottom lip in. ]
...I guess I just want to know if there's something better me and my pokémon can do. Everything's still challenging in the battle dome, but I want -- more? [ Um.
That sounds... bad? He fidgets, then shrugs. ] I don't know. I thought it'd be interesting to know what else we could fight on there. That's about it really.
Well... that's it. Bye.

Hey, Caius. [ He pauses, trying to think of how to continue... ] You fight with a sword, right? I want to practice with you sometime, if you've got the time.

[Action]
ok hold onto your buttUpon entering, the inside turns into the outdoors where, be careful Caius, there's a set of steps going downwards onto a soft beach right from the entrance. Just a few though, and Pikachu bouncing down them first hopefully will be enough of a warning for you. It's a small sandy area Red's picked, with rocky walls on both sides encasing in the view and leading it only downward to the blue ocean. The ground forward isn't even, but it's not a steep slope either despite the way it seems to lead towards the sea. At least it's easy enough to spot Red and his other pokémon with the limited direction to look in.
Snorlax, as one might guess, is flopped out on the sand with spread-out arms and legs, while Venusaur leans close to him, eyes closed until Pikachu comes on over to alert Red of Caius's arrival. The boy looks at much as he always does, but he's got a fighting staff with him, held in both hands as he swings it in a pattern - from under one elbow, to the other, and to over the shoulder.
But he stops when he hears Pikachu, turning to Caius and holding the weapon down in one hand so he can wave. ]
Hi! Caius!
[Action]
which is surprising given his recent record of falling over turtles and trying to kick skarmorys but anyway, using the walk as a chance to take in everything that Red has managed to set up.When he spots Red and his pokemon he smiles, eyes going to that staff Red is wielding. While he's never fought a staff user before, third party members with crude stick weapons not included, he's pretty interested in seeing just what Red can do. From his movements though he can tell that Red at the very least has a basic grasp on how to use the weapon.]
Hey! This is a cool place you've set up. [Beaaach. Maybe they could go swimming-- Uh. After training, of course.]
[Action]
why kick skarmorys tho]Thanks. [ It prompts him to look around the set up, smiling a little. ] It's near Fuschia City. I was here before I came to Luceti.
[ It wasn't the first time he had been in an ocean area - Vermillion City had a great few, and Pallet Town was near to the sea as well. But never going swimming as a kid and Vermillion being full of boats, coming to this site in Fuschia had been a treat. Too bad he hadn't any swimming pokémon at the time.
-- anyway who cares about that. Red makes the staff wave slightly on his hand, lips pulling to the side. ]
I forgot to ask. You don't have... [ uh ] You're not like superhuman strong, are you?
[Action]
because one Taunted him and it had it coming]So it's a place from your world... I'm glad I can see it then!
[He's seen plenty of beaches and he's been out to the ocean back home, but knowing it's a place from Red's world makes it all more interesting and exciting to be here. Even if it's just a simulation.]
But uh, I'm strong! [It's important he says this first okay.] ... Just not as strong as some of the people around here who can lift really heavy stuff up and that sort of thing.
[BUT HE'S STILL STRONG. Yup.]
[Action]
So... if you hit me, you're not going to knock me down every time are you?
[ He doesn't want that to happen each time! ]
[Action]
[He really packs a hell of a punch in his beast form. His human form is still fairly strong, but that's because of his experience with a sword and not because he can just barrel through people with power alone.]
If you're worried about it though then I can go easy on you.
[Action]
[ He takes some steps back, putting the weapon into both of his hands. ]
...But I'll have to get used to anything, so. You can go easy on me if you think you have to, but I don't want you to go easy on me forever.
[Action]
[And now he's putting way too much thought into thinking about how strong you need to be to be super. Luckily he doesn't think about this for long though.
He soon follows Red's lead and draws his sword, holding it in one hand with his arm guard on the other.]
I'm gonna see just how good you are first. If you really keep me on my toes then I'll start getting serious!
[Action]
But despite the way Red's expression firms and he readies himself for it, seeing the weapon in Caius's hand once he stops speaking, it reminds Red of back to the draft. Those people, with their larger wings and their blades, the first time he'd really seen them with the intent to kill. It looks heavy. Thick. Less so than the staff, but he knows its weight in his hands and the way it can hurt is different than his imagination.
Still. It makes his shoulders tense to think about being on the other side of the sword, and his lips press tighter together as he swallows. No; he can't lose his cool before even beginning.
His body is already warmed up from the training before. He has to remember this is just a training thing thankfully, and -- got to stop worrying. Just do it. So he takes another step back, the staff still held in both hands being brought to his side as he starts to turn it, slowly at first, but picking up the momentum with it as he remembers how to get into the rhythm of it. It's just for a few seconds really, gaining the feel for the weapon in his hands again and trying not to lose focus on it but neither on Caius in front of him.
And then he goes for the first strike, indicated by the less than smooth transition from the wheeling to being halted suddenly over his shoulder, but still moving afterwards with not too much clumsiness as he brings the top of the weapon over from that shoulder and towards Caius's neck, letting out a small rough sound as he does. ]
