Hi, my name's Red. I've got a couple of questions... I wanted to ask about first aid and the battle dome, and also if there's anybody that knows about fixing things? [ He looks away ] I don't have anything broken, but I wanted to have something looked at.

[ Right, anyway. Back to the screen. ]

But with the first aid... I was wondering if anyone had the time to help me see if I know what I'm doing? I got taught how to put on bandages a long time ago, but I don't think I was doing it right the last time I did it.

[ Maybe it had been fine, but a refresher would be good either way. ]

Anyway, then the battle dome - I wanted to know about what fighters train against in there. [ This was going to be hard, but ] I know people here have different abilities, and what we can handle is different too. I've tried creatures not from my world, but I guess...

[ What does he guess? He thinks, pinching his bottom lip in. ]

...I guess I just want to know if there's something better me and my pokémon can do. Everything's still challenging in the battle dome, but I want -- more? [ Um.

That sounds... bad? He fidgets, then shrugs. ] I don't know. I thought it'd be interesting to know what else we could fight on there. That's about it really.

Hey, Caius. [ He pauses, trying to think of how to continue... ] You fight with a sword, right? I want to practice with you sometime, if you've got the time.

I'll look into the classes and for Law. Thanks Ginia. I want someone to look at one of my pokéballs. If they get broken then I can't use it and then I won't be able to move my pokémon around easy. So I wanted to know if someone could try and figure them out if anything ever happened to them.

[Ginia reads the message, then reads it again. The implication is pretty obvious and it's a horrifying and troublesome idea.]

I'm sorry I can't help with that, though I hope you can find someone who can. Maybe someone at the smithy would be able to figure something out. Or create some kind of armor or protective case for the pokéballs.

[ With Venusaur and Snorlax (and especially Snorlax), it was a big deal. Pikachu was small and easy to transport, but the other two?

He thinks over the idea of an armour. It could be good, though... ]

I'll ask them but I think a person who can look at them would be best first. I heard long ago in the past they used to make pokéballs from tree plants. so it can't be too hard for a smart person who fixes things for fun to figure them out.

There's a person in the village named Leon. He's the one who built the teleporters to the beach and hot springs. I've never talked to him myself, but he sounds like he might be a good lead.

[Isaac also comes to mind, but that's not a person Ginia is comfortable sending Red to seek out. Not that she thinks Red would come to any harm, but there are deals best not made.]

And as for your question about the Battle Dome, I fight people and Third Party cultists.

] A name might be enough - at least he could ask around about him with the added part about him building the teleporters, but maybe if he could find him by any sort of occupation, he could go looking for him that way.

As for the part about people and cultists -- well, it's not entirely surprisingly. If it were just him, he would do the same. ]

What do you fight with?

Sorry, I'm not sure. You could try asking Raine, she runs the school and the flower shop. She's been around Luceti long enough that she'd be able to point you in the right direction.

[Ginia pauses before answering the next part.]

Guns and knives.

OK I will. Thanks Ginia.

[ Ah, guns and knives. He knows about guns, and he definitely knows about knives. He has one himself, though it's a pocket knife for a few other functions. Like a cork screw. ]

I'm learning how to use a staff. I know how to fight with my hands [ decently enough ] but I didn't like the idea of fighting like that with the people out there.

[ With their swords and their axes and whatever else. ]

But I train with other people when I do. You look like you know how to fight really well and how to handle yourself.

[ Or she looked prepared and confident that night of the draft. He remembers that quite well. ]

Staff is a good weapon. Versatile too, you can almost always find something to use as a replacement.

[While Ginia always finds it a bit saddening when kids have to learn self-defense, it's almost necessary here and it's good for learning discipline and focus too. Better to know something and never have to use it than not know it at all.]

Always good to keep training, and with different people to. [Ginia pauses not sure how to answer next. She can fight well enough, survive even which is what really matters. But she knows her limits and she knows she's outclassed here.]

I've learned how to survive. My world is a bit rough.

[ He never thought about that with a staff, but it's a good thought to keep. He just decided on a staff because it didn't mean stabbing a person to death in his head. ]

When I get better we can train if you want. I want to train against all kinds of weapons so I'm prepared.

[It's not something she'll dismiss right away, but training with Red is something she has to think about too.]

I'll give you a tip if you train against anyone that uses ranged weapons. You really only have two options; get up close as fast as possible, or stay hidden until they run out of ammo or arrows or whatever. And frankly, don't get in a ranged fight if you don't have a ranged weapon yourself.

[A pause.]

If you want, I teach you how to shoot a gun.

[ He has to think himself about her offer. What he knows about the weaponry is from Karis and her use of magic through it, and that Saori had an interest once in learning how to use them. ]

I don't know anything about guns. Is that okay?

That's perfectly fine. And it's not something you might like either. But the offer is there.

We can try one day you're not busy with anything. I'm okay with giving a go.

My schedule is pretty open. [Depressingly so with all the departures.] Whenever works for you.

Is later in the day okay? I'm not good at times but I learn magic and staff fighting in the morning and around lunch time.

Yes, that's fine. We'll have to meet at the Battle Dome though, it's the safest place to learn how to shoot. Unlimited ammo too.

That's okay. I try to be at the Battle Dome every day.

I'm usually there too. You're welcome to drop by and say hi if I'm in a room. I always set up an alarm so I know when people enter if I'm in a large simulation.
