[ A Add another number to the newbie arrival for this month. Red thankfully has friendly company to help him realise what the heck is on his back, and also to rip some holes in his shirt so he can stop wearing nothing over his chest. He's carrying the rest of the clothes though, he's not messing around with changing out in a forest at this time.

Maybe you're lurking around in the forest for whatever, and wow what is that big thing you see through the trees? Or wow, what's that faint, pleasant smell in the air?

But they'll also be found in the town, with the boy and his three pokémon finding themselves led there thanks to a good pair of ears.

They're free to approach, or maybe Red will approach your character should they not seem to be in a rush. ]

Uh, excuse me?

[ B A little trouble may or may not occur. Did somebody say something about Luceti and cookies??? Who's cooking? Because that aforementioned big round guy? Red was led to the town by Pikachu's ears and Snorlax's impressive Food Is Here senses. So if anybody is baking right now, the snorlax might juuust try to circle around your house (or wherever it is you're cooking), to try and find the source and how to get to the source.

What is that shadow creeping outside your kitchen window? What is that rattling on your door knob? Are you not even in a house with food? Well, you may not be so alone for long...

Hi, sexy food havers.

Restaurants are also not safe. ]

[ Red may or may not really get this thing already. Either way he, with maybe the head of one of his pokémon peeking at the side, will be looking at the book in bewilderment. ]

[She gives the shirt one last little tug to make sure it's in place before taking a step back.]

No, no. I mean finding you clothes that have been tailored for wings. If you want something like mine, or a similar style...I'm sure we could find you something.

[She claps her hands]

You'd look nice in a shitagi, I think!

Wh-wh-no way!

[He clutches the front of his shirt, like she might whip it off and put him into a shitawhatever right there.]

I like shirts and trousers just fine thanks!!

[Pikachu takes that time to climb up up on Red's clothing, up to his shoulder and giving his cheek a bump with his head.]

[windandrain]

[She laughs and starts walking towards town, waving him along after her and letting the little cloud vanish.]

I'm joking! It's perfectly fine, I even wear shirts and jeans at times myself. There's a certain comfort in having traditional clothes though.

[And Pikachu is just adorable...]

[He follows, calling to Saur and Snorlax to follow them as well. Again Saur's bulb the water was rather nice, not preferring colder temperatures to much warmer ones. Snorlax, walking behind Saur, rubs his belly of the moisture - but in doing that and smelling Saur, just begins to think about food...]

People don't really wear that stuff where I'm from... [!]

Oh! But, at the last gym I visited the leader wore some old fashioned clothes. Ki...mono? [He makes a motion at the upper sides of his waist, then moves his hands to the front of his legs as he speaks-]

It had holes in the side of the skirt here and here, and there were folds in it like normal skirts have.

[Pleats, but he doesn't know the word.]

Well, where you're from isn't where I'm from...but...

[She turns and smiles at him.]

Kimono certainly are. They're a kind of traditional garment in my home. I usually wear them myself. Though, never to a gym. That would make exercise hard.

Unless...

[She pauses, suddenly curious.]

What do you do at a gym?

[pokeboy]

Uhh... I think if you stay at a gym, you get to train with the gym leader there. But I went there to challenge the gym leader! If you beat the gym leader in a battle, you'll get their badge!

[Pause.] But I don't think the gym leader was worried about getting sweaty... when I met her she was fast asleep.

[windandrain]

Beat the...gym leader in a battle? [This doesn't really compute.]

What? You...go to gyms and challenge them to a fight? That sounds like what used to happen in my world's past. Are you a swordsman? Or a boxer?

[pokeboy]

No, I'm a pokémon trainer!

[Oh, wait, she apparently... doesn't know anything about those. Let's explain more.]

Pokémon trainers fight with their pokémon. We train them and take on gym leaders to show how capable we are as a team!

[windandrain]

[Oh! Well...that makes sense. She nods in understanding.]

Ah, well then. I understand that sort of thing then. They're more than just friends, then?

[pokeboy]

Hm...yeah. They're my companions. [He thinks for a second, then nods.] We're allies.

[windandrain]

Your allies then. [She turns and looks back at Snorlax.]

And does everyone at your home have battles with pokemon?

[pokeboy]

Yeah! Or, well, most do. Some people keep them at home or take them to work with them. Like builders use machokes and geodudes in construction. When machamps evolve, they get four arms! And geodudes, they become big round balls with four hands but lose two when they turn into golems!

[Sorry Saori he cannot help but infodump like a big kid. It is what he is.]

[windandrain]

My...my...

[She takes that in with an absent, but still interested expression. She doesn't completely understand what he's talking about, but...okay, so four arms and Geo...dudes?]

Sounds fascinating. What do people do with pikachus, snorlaxes, and saurs?

[pokeboy]

[And golems!!!]

Do with 'em? [Uh......!!!] Oh! Pikachus are electric types, so you use them against pokémon weak to electric. Ivysaurs are grass and poison, and snorlaxes are normal.

Normal type pokémon aren't really strong against anything, but ghosts can't hurt them.

[windandrain]

Wait, did...you say electric?

[Very much interested there!]

[pokeboy]

[Nod!] Yeah.

[He points one of Pikachu's cheeks as they walk, but not too closely.] They come out of their cheeks. They store up electricity in their body and can share it with other pikachus. Annd... [thinking for a second]

If their tails are pointed upwards, sometimes they'll get struck by lightning!

[windandrain]

[She's positively beaming now.]

And do they like such things? Or does it hurt them?

[pokeboy]

[Her increasing jovial state is obvious (and infectious!), though Red has to think about it.]

It doesn't hurt them, but. [He looks to Pikachu on his shoulder.] Pikachu, do you mind it?

[Pikachu shakes his head.] Pikaaaa.

[Not a very mindful sound there! But since Saori seems so interested in pikachus, Red wants to keep talking...!]

If you give Pikachu too much electricity, he'll get a little woozy...but Pikachu can make thunder bolts-- [!] -just like your cloud did! But bigger!

[Pikachu cheers in agreement, making a little fist. HE SURE CAN.]

[windandrain]

[That gets a laugh, merry and cheerful. The little creature is just so cute, and...if it can do that, then it's just the kind of thing she'd be interested in. Electricity is drawn to itself, after all.]

Well that's certainly something to keep in mind. I'm much the same, if truth be told. I can call up lightning much bigger than that cloud, and it actually feels nice when I can touch it.

[She reaches up a hand to Pikachu, sparks beginning to hop from one finger to the next. If he'd like a charge, or to share...she's happy to oblige.]

Only...I don't think I could ever feel too much of it. It's just such a fantastic feeling.

[pokeboy]

[Pikachu moves on Red's shoulder, closer to the end. The sparks do indeed catch his interest, and make him sniff the air towards them. His own red cheeks begin to crackle, and perhaps even their electricities mingle.

Which makes Red stop walking, a little wary, but also-]

Um- well, how about you have Pikachu?

[Carefully (though still he gets a bit of static shock on a hand), he picks Pikachu up with both of his hands, holding the pokémon in front of him.]

He can sit on your shoulder! Then you can feel it?

[windandrain]

[The electricity does mingle with hers, and she takes in a sense of the creature, offering her own back. The pokemon might find that she's very much holding back, as there's a depth to her power that transcends mortality, but at the same time it's easy to see that she's happy to share.]

I don't mind that, certainly.

[She reaches out and picks up the pikachu gently, giving him free reign to run up her arm or be held as he will.]

He's certainly got a lot of energy...

[pokeboy]

[On all fours, Pikachu climbs up her arm and up onto her shoulder. Before, Pikachu had been wary about getting too close to her little storm cloud - he's known for sparking with the introduction to water and he didn't want to accidentally shock anybody.

But now that he's on her, he can feel that bundle of power - like a warm cozy bed. He moves his head closer to own, making a small 'pika? sound before going in and rubbing his cheek against hers - the exact place where his electricity stores itself in his body.

And with her sharing her electricity, oh, tiny sparks will be flying - and a nice current going through through him. He squeals in delight, arching his back like a cat and rubbing a bit more, but quickly stopping when he nearly loses his balance. Fortunately, he gets it back!]

[windandrain]

[Well that certainly gets a giggle, and she nuzzles her cheek right back, golden sparks mingling with his. Her hand comes up to steady him as he almost falls, just in case, and she lets out a squeaking laugh of her own.]

Ooh! That's so cute! He's like a tiny little stormcloud!

[And it's a little odd, because this sort of sharing she's only ever done with fellow gods...and Pao-Lin...but it's definitely still pleasant.]

Goodness! His paws tickle too!

[pokeboy]

[It shoould be weird. It should be really, reeeally weird. And actually, it is, kind of, watching a person with Pikachu and actually, literally making sparks fly between, hearing Pikachu cooing like he's in a pit of voltorbs that don't fancy self-destructing in his face.

It's weird. But it's charming in an odd way too, and Red laughs a little as the two of them seem to laugh and enjoy each other. For Pikachu, he's rarely had another electrical companion until in recent time, and too much electrical charge made it get excited and self-destruct. In his face.

Pikachu isn't giving her much of his electrical - a bit, but not as much as he could dish - just for the voice in his head telling him he shouldn't go all out. But it's a moot point anyway, since what's being generated between the two of them already, somebody like Red wouldn't be able to handle well. Not at all.]

Eheheh, you two look like you're having fun.

[windandrain]

[She's just as pleased by it, because she so rarely has the chance to interact like this with anyone...or anything...and it's enough to make her shiver in obvious enjoyment. Sharing power like that is infectious in a way, but she's very mindful to not overload Pikachu, because it just wouldn't do.

When Red speaks up, she reaches up and scratches Pikachu on the head affectionately before nodding.]

Oh, absolutely. Though perhaps we should get on our way to town. I wouldn't want to tire him out, you know. You've only just arrived.

[She gently lifts Pikachu off her shoulder and leans in, giving him a peck on the cheek before offering him back to Red.]

There's always more chances to enjoy each other's company, after all.
