[ A Add another number to the newbie arrival for this month. Red thankfully has friendly company to help him realise what the heck is on his back, and also to rip some holes in his shirt so he can stop wearing nothing over his chest. He's carrying the rest of the clothes though, he's not messing around with changing out in a forest at this time.

Maybe you're lurking around in the forest for whatever, and wow what is that big thing you see through the trees? Or wow, what's that faint, pleasant smell in the air?

But they'll also be found in the town, with the boy and his three pokémon finding themselves led there thanks to a good pair of ears.

They're free to approach, or maybe Red will approach your character should they not seem to be in a rush. ]

Uh, excuse me?

[ B A little trouble may or may not occur. Did somebody say something about Luceti and cookies??? Who's cooking? Because that aforementioned big round guy? Red was led to the town by Pikachu's ears and Snorlax's impressive Food Is Here senses. So if anybody is baking right now, the snorlax might juuust try to circle around your house (or wherever it is you're cooking), to try and find the source and how to get to the source.

What is that shadow creeping outside your kitchen window? What is that rattling on your door knob? Are you not even in a house with food? Well, you may not be so alone for long...

[ Red may or may not really get this thing already. Either way he, with maybe the head of one of his pokémon peeking at the side, will be looking at the book in bewilderment. ]

[ Can Red just be distracted from whatever else it was he was going to ask? Because a possible new pokémon just gets him going, and his eyes are directly on the bird and possibly sparkling.

And let's just say that Red is a bit more properly dressed for this conversation, though still carrying leftover clothes a book with him. ]

Wow, is that a pokémon? It is, right? [ He wants to bend down and look at it closer and everything else, which - he sort of does, but spending down on the spot he stands, holding off on getting closer in case it might shy of new company. ] What is it?

[breezing]

[ Hey, she never minds people being distracted. Ikki is always distracted easily, and anyone seeming pleased to meet Soren gets an automatic smile. Her partner is the coolest, okay. ]

Soren? He's a Swellow! He's a Pokémon for sure! He was born here in Luceti, to some of the Pokémon trainer's Pokémon. I'm his third trainer, but I've been with him the longest.

[ She only met one of the previous trainers, who had left ages ago. Soren, for his part, is ENTIRELY COOL with being admired, and may preen a little.

Shy is not a word that applies to either Ikki nor Soren. ]

[ Aw yea, look at that wonderful bird. Red's own pokémon stand around him, kinda looking but not as invested in this new discovery as Red (except maybe Saur, who has been putting up with his pokémon searching ways the longest).]

Third trainer? Wow. [ Is that bad? But it doesn't really look so bad with how the pokémon seems to appear happy. ]

Do you know if he's evolved? How many evolutions does he have? I've never seen a bird like him in Kanto!

[breezing]

He's from...um, Hoenn? I think that's the word. But anyway, he's a second evolution, and that's his last one. According to my Pokedex. Well, the Pokedex I got given when I got him; it just has entries in it.

[ From whatever people transferred to her; she pokes through it sometimes but it's been a while. ]

His first one was Taillow.

[ Soren's entries she has memorized, of course. ]

[It's all very fascinating, up until when she mentions the Pokédex. Right there, his expression begins to turn into confusion.]

Huh...? You've got a Pokédex?

[breezing]

They gave it to me with his ball and stuff? I don't think it works like everyone else's. It's just entries and stuff.

[ Ikki shrugs. She has absolutely zero idea of where it came from, to be quite honest; she figures Gold got it...somehow...or...something..............

...............she should really ask the boys where it came from someday. :| ]

I don't ever use the pokeball though 'cause he's just out all the time with me.

What does it look like?

[ thinking it is probably not... an actual pokédex by the sounds of it. ]

[ It's one of the things she keeps around usually.

She will hand it over. Entries can be browsed, and apparently one can make notes in it, but Ikki hasn't done that part. Her entries are all only Pokemon she's managed to see or whose entries were transferred to her by trainers in Luceti, so...probably less than one would expect. ]

It's more sleek looking than his, that's for sure. His is more old school even if that is FireRed/LeafGreen's we're going FIRST GEN HERE. There's less buttons than his too, but there's parts that he recognises enough to actually get it to turn on and... slip into a category. ]

Wh... it's really like a pokédex! I can't believe it! [ He finally tears his eyes away from it to look at Ikki. ] Somebody from Hoenn gave this to you?!

[breezing]

...I think so. I mean, I got it with Soren, like I said, so Masaomi and Gold kinda just handed it over?

[ CLEARLY THIS GUY KNOWS HIS STUFF, THOUGH, he has made it do things on the first go. ]

I'm not from a world where Pokemon exist, so I only started learning about 'em here.

Where I'm from, people don't have these things! Professor Oak just made them! Me and Blue have one, but nobody else.

[ He's flipping down all the entries...!!!! ]

I think a few people here do. Everyone with color names, at least, but the other trainers, too. I met "Professor Oak" once, but it was over a year ago, I think, and he didn't stay in Luceti for long.

[ So she knows the name but not much...else... ]

I think the people who gave it to me are probably from your future!

Huh? My future? People can't come from the future.

[ who comes from the future. that's dumb. sceptical face here, ikki! ]

Do so! My grandpa is here from like fifty or seventy years in the past, even.

[ IT'S A LUCETI THING... ]

[ HER GAME IS USING HER KNOWLEDGE TO GET SNACKS. HOW IS THAT SO WRONG no okay gaming the newbies is a little rude but hey he didn't believe her about time travel. ]

[ She...admits this easily enough. ]

Well I still wanna know more about your pokémon. [ let's focus on better things! And the fact he still has her pokédex in his hands. ] Your list is way bigger than mine...!

[breezing]

Yeah, I mean...they like...transferred the entries or...something?

[ It's clear Ikki has no actual clue how this was accomplished or what, exactly, was done. She treats it like a magical storybook, though, so this is no surprise. ]

Uh, Masaomi set it up for me, and I'm not sure what he did, exactly. Gold helped, too, I think.

I bet I can do it! [ hahaha 50/50 chance he knows crap about how to work it beyond flicking through it. BUT HE'S GOT TO SHOW OFF. ] I've gotta find mine first though.
