Hi. Does anyone know how people make perfumes? Or the sticks that you burn and they give off smells.
And... I want to know about plants and medicines too! So if anyone knows just send me a message, okay? I don't want to know everything, just one or two things. Thanks.
[ AND THEN LATER ON IN THE DAY- ]
Hi, can I meet with someone who can make a ball of water without it touching anything? I want to try an attack on it, so - if you don't care about water exploding and you have a free hour sometime, let me know! Thanks!
[ Action ]
[ For the day (or even a few days before or after), Red can be found in a few number of places. First are trips into the bakery, grocery shop, convenience store -- heck, he'll visit all of the coffee/tea/restaurants/places that look like they serve food in them (oh, maybe he'll get a glimpse of that beautiful lady today...!). He shall also be carrying Very Big Bags that food is going in. After that - or somewhere in all of that, whenever the place opens - is a visit to the flower shop, the boy look at the flowers with his pikachu on his shoulder but really, he's waiting to see someone who runs it!
After that and grabbing a quick bite to eat is a visit to the Willow Tree, and then a visit to the Farmlands to see if there's anything to be done and to check in on Luke Skywalker's bantha Hamal. Doesn't matter if you're back to seeing him Luke, Red and him are bros. Red's pokémon Venusaur is out as always around this time (and everyone else, though those guys are eating), at a section of the ground with her multiple vines on the ground. Her flower is glowing softly, and the ground around her is actually poking out with small dots of green... is that grass? And do the plants in front of her look more grown?
Later on comes his training with a few people, as well as going to the Battle Dome when a room's available. Except there the trainer isn't always going to be inside, instead watching over them from the viewable pane on the second floor. (Hey is that Vegeta?? THAT GUY...) But there will be times when he's in there as well. Hey man who knows.
Considering the type of training they've been undertaking though, Red's not going to be at the battle dome the whole day -- his pokémon will need the rest. They'll take a walk into the forest, whether joined at whatever moment by Snorlax and Venusaur (Pikachu is an always, though the little mouse may be up in the trees at the time), sometimes stopping so that they can just chill. Red might be taking advantage of that whole just relaxing thang, but he may be testing out some tricks with the spells he's learnt. One of those will be creating a ball of light and then chucking it, bouncing it to go far - and then making it go in a flash of light at his command. What a nice waste of time.
And let's just throw in some other options too! Maybe they're on this day or a day before. Screw the rules of time. Training is an important thing for the trainer, and Red likes to make use of the open land once people get out of the forest towards the mountains. Nice and spacious, though sometimes he makes use of the teleporter to the hot springs to test the mountain ground as well.
Because they want to make some earthquakes, though trying to be mindful of other people around. With their training these days focusing more and more on how one uses their energy to cause bigger damage, getting it to do more than just shake the ground is worth testing out, and there's a different between the dirty earth and the rocky stone of the mountains...
(Gonna try hopping off if they hear anything suspicious approaching though! Yeah buddy we're talking about you. You know who you are.)
And then some days there's a visit to the beach. Big bird Lugia, are you going to be helping with that sometimes? Or at least a ride back to the village? Thanks bro. Because they've been having test matches against each other, Red's three pokémon against such an astounding legendary of the sea. And when they're not fighting? It's chilling on the beach together, Red with his journal out to read to the oversized seagull.
Or a Snorlax might be punching the water. Or kicking it. The sand too. Who even likes sand. ]

If I made a pokémon focus a strong enough gust... they could make it chuck rock through the air...?
[ He has no flying pokémon on him, sure, but he's thinking. ]
[action]
[Never. Ever. Jumpkick an airbender.]
[action]
As soon as they land, he's making note of that! ]
Now I wanna try it! Too bad none of my flying pokémon are here... [ he looks at Saori. ]
But you know, I've been thinking about a way of getting people stuck on the ground too. Venusaur can make seeds that can leech onto people, so what if she could make some strong enough to cling into the ground and around peoples' feet? Then they couldn't move!
[ And he'd like to try that on some certain ground types HEH HEH HEH... ]
[action]
You know, that's actually pretty clever. It would be very good if she could. Sort of like a root trap, right? It's not a kind of magic I can do, but I've seen it done, so it's easily possible. Though, you'd want to be careful if the thing you're trying to grab onto can fly, because then it'd be harder. Need more energy.
[action]
Well if it tries to fly away, she could try grabbing it with her real vines and throwing out razor leafs? Flying targets can be pretty tricky, you need to be quick... Pikachu's the easiest at taking down flying types.
And if Snorlax can control his electric like Pikachu to make electric bolts, he could hit flying targets easy too. Or he can start throwing stuff at them.
[action]
[She's not going to try and explain friction though.]
It's not really a surprise that Pikachu is good at it. I had no doubt. [She smiles at the little guy, running a charged hand along his back.]
But if Snorlax can learn to, then yes, I'm sure he could manage to be really good at fighting flying things. Our enemies included.
[action] apologies, misplaced this tag!
And for that last part, there's a nod of agreement from Red. ]
Right. Pikachu's still going to be better going against them if they're in the air, then Snorlax can focus on anything on the ground, but I bet it'll pack an extra kick in his punches on anyone he hits.
[ He nods his head again saying that last part, a small smile on his lips briefly. It wasn't that he was unaware of who the enemy they were speaking about was, but his head reminded him of that after the excitement of talking over battle tactics. ]
Talking about this kind of stuff when you want to relax probably isn't fun, huh?
: [action] /nevar forgives
[She reaches over and ruffles his hat a bit.]
Besides, as a very wise fighter once said, ‘Everyone has a plan, until they get hit.’

But you know, training pokémon's what I do. [ He tilts his head, a meaningless motion. ] So I don't know if I can turn that off... we even had a videogame console back when I lived with the other trainers, but I never played it once.
[ There's amusement in Red's vice in saying that. A console he'd never played before, and though he thought about it once or twice - he was far too pre-occupied with other things, even before he became more dedicated after Zompania. ]
I think the last game I played was with you and the marbles rolling everywhere.

There wasn't much time for games, and the Hainu she'd lived with hadn't really played much with her either, but she'd had Tesshin looking out for her and sometimes the great god had suggested such things. It was a lesson, she thought, at the time...but now she'd come to realize it was more than that. It was a means to stave off dark thoughts, and still retain some level of sociability.]
Well, we're going to fix that today. Not that training is bad, don't misunderstand me, but you should make sure you at least spend a little time playing a game too. Games are a means to get stronger too, and they help with the most important part of life.

But what did she actually mean? ]

Regardless- ] But I have fun, Saori- we all do! We train a lot, because that's what a trainer does.
[ Or a trainer like him. But Red pauses, to think about how to better explain. ]
Like... some days we'll spend as long as we can in the battle dome, or we'll go out to the forest or as far as the mountains to do something, and we'll go exploring or talking to each other. And then I spend time with you too, and some other people... [ People who teach him skills and those he ends up bumping into-- in a way, it wasn't so different from his life was becoming.
He looks to the god, giving her a smile. ] I am happy. I really am.

[She laughs lightly, smiling back at him.]
As long as you can laugh, and find things to do that aren't just fighting, then I think it's alright. Just...don't lose yourself to become stronger, okay?
[A cautionary tale, from someone who'd seen far, far too many mortals go that route.]

I won't! There's way more to the world than fighting! I've got to help my professor when we go back home too.
