Hi. Does anyone know how people make perfumes? Or the sticks that you burn and they give off smells.

And... I want to know about plants and medicines too! So if anyone knows just send me a message, okay? I don't want to know everything, just one or two things. Thanks.

Hi, can I meet with someone who can make a ball of water without it touching anything? I want to try an attack on it, so - if you don't care about water exploding and you have a free hour sometime, let me know! Thanks!

[ For the day (or even a few days before or after), Red can be found in a few number of places. First are trips into the bakery, grocery shop, convenience store -- heck, he'll visit all of the coffee/tea/restaurants/places that look like they serve food in them (oh, maybe he'll get a glimpse of that beautiful lady today...!). He shall also be carrying Very Big Bags that food is going in. After that - or somewhere in all of that, whenever the place opens - is a visit to the flower shop, the boy look at the flowers with his pikachu on his shoulder but really, he's waiting to see someone who runs it!

After that and grabbing a quick bite to eat is a visit to the Willow Tree, and then a visit to the Farmlands to see if there's anything to be done and to check in on Luke Skywalker's bantha Hamal. Doesn't matter if you're back to seeing him Luke, Red and him are bros. Red's pokémon Venusaur is out as always around this time (and everyone else, though those guys are eating), at a section of the ground with her multiple vines on the ground. Her flower is glowing softly, and the ground around her is actually poking out with small dots of green... is that grass? And do the plants in front of her look more grown?

Later on comes his training with a few people, as well as going to the Battle Dome when a room's available. Except there the trainer isn't always going to be inside, instead watching over them from the viewable pane on the second floor. (Hey is that Vegeta?? THAT GUY...) But there will be times when he's in there as well. Hey man who knows.

Considering the type of training they've been undertaking though, Red's not going to be at the battle dome the whole day -- his pokémon will need the rest. They'll take a walk into the forest, whether joined at whatever moment by Snorlax and Venusaur (Pikachu is an always, though the little mouse may be up in the trees at the time), sometimes stopping so that they can just chill. Red might be taking advantage of that whole just relaxing thang, but he may be testing out some tricks with the spells he's learnt. One of those will be creating a ball of light and then chucking it, bouncing it to go far - and then making it go in a flash of light at his command. What a nice waste of time.

And let's just throw in some other options too! Maybe they're on this day or a day before. Screw the rules of time. Training is an important thing for the trainer, and Red likes to make use of the open land once people get out of the forest towards the mountains. Nice and spacious, though sometimes he makes use of the teleporter to the hot springs to test the mountain ground as well.

Because they want to make some earthquakes, though trying to be mindful of other people around. With their training these days focusing more and more on how one uses their energy to cause bigger damage, getting it to do more than just shake the ground is worth testing out, and there's a different between the dirty earth and the rocky stone of the mountains...

(Gonna try hopping off if they hear anything suspicious approaching though! Yeah buddy we're talking about you. You know who you are.)

And then some days there's a visit to the beach. Big bird Lugia, are you going to be helping with that sometimes? Or at least a ride back to the village? Thanks bro. Because they've been having test matches against each other, Red's three pokémon against such an astounding legendary of the sea. And when they're not fighting? It's chilling on the beach together, Red with his journal out to read to the oversized seagull.

Or a Snorlax might be punching the water. Or kicking it. The sand too. Who even likes sand. ]

[Lugia has been more than happy to fly his friend around when he needs it. It gives the giant legendary something to do, and he rather enjoys battling against Red's Pokemon as well. He also appreciates Red's efforts to read the journal entries to him. Using the journal was not very practical on his own, but with the help of someone who has hands, its a lot easier.

It's one of these days that they're chilling on the beach that Lugia decides to ask some questions.]

I have noticed that you and many other people keep their Pokemon in those small spheres that you carry with you. I have wondered what it is like for your Pokemon.

[ Awesome, chilling is rad. Red's sitting cross-legged, Pikachu accompanying them by laying out on his back as Venusaur and Snorlax have gone to a rocky mountain wall far off - what they want to try is noisy, so they (or Saur doesn't) want to interrupt them!

Red leans forward though at the question. ]

The pokéballs? I asked about it once too! [ Pikachu tilts his head to his trainer as Red gives a long hum. ] What's it like... everyone said it was weird at first? But not bad - they can rest and sleep in there, and they know what's going on around me so if there's a fight, they'll get ready in case I bring them out.

It was like that, right Pikachu? [ He smiles to the pokémon, and Pikachu raises up his arms in a meaningless motion before flopping onto his belly to sit onto his butt to speak. Y'know, everything's weird and bigger when you're in there, and that's strange to see, but it's cosy enough! 'Cept I know another pikachu here don't like it.

The topic actually reminds Red of a thought he had once, but he'll wait to bring that up...! ]

Well I can certainly help with the water part. [ A pause. ] But, ah, wh-what kind of attack are testing exactly?

[Fold. Crease. Fold. Crease.

Ginia works studiously at a table in the library, a small stack of patterned origami paper and a small box with a handful of paper cranes in front of her. Laika sleeps underneath the table, nose and paws twitching as she dreams.

A thousand cranes is a lot to fold, but there's no shortage of time in the village. It's a project as good as any, a nice way to keep her mind and hands occupied. A nice hobby too.

(She remembers the little animals left on her desk by Shinohara. The memory hurts as much as it makes her smile.)

Fold. Crease. Fold.]

[Even after visiting the place nearly daily for the past four years, Vash still wouldn't consider himself as someone who 'works' at the shop. Still, he knows his way around well enough that when he spots the boy with the odd, yellow mouse on his shoulder he smiles at them.]

Hey there, looking for something special?

[Xzana was resting under a tree in the forest. Her stomach full of food that she was relaxing and digesting. She was bad about looking at her journal so she did not see Red's request for someone who could make balls of water without touching it. There would have been a good chance she wouldn't have answered even if she had.

A small puddle nearby she was currently entertaining herself with. Picking the water up with her powers. Slowly twisting it this way and that. Lazily making shapes as she enjoys having a full tummy. She's not really expecting anyone to come past here right now. Which makes it a perfect time for her quiet time to be interrupted!]

[ It's not often Red comes into the library (plenty of enough books to look through with Karis's collection if he ever wants to read, and then there's Helios's lessons...), but he does wonder if he could find anything out about his question or, hey, maybe there's something more interesting inside.

It wasn't a serious thought, a bit of a time waster and an excuse to peek inside. Seeing who's at a table though - and as well as underneath it - gives an incentive to do more than peeking. He won't call out, and he's already reminded Pikachu on his shoulder to stay hushed too, but Red will walk on hurried and quiet steps over to the table and slow down just before he reaches it, with eyes on Ginia and then on her project. ]

Hey. [ Is his voice too too low? Red can never tell what's the right volume. He eyes the box and what Ginia's got in her hands then, but he can't tell the shape they're taking of, but there's something easily recognisable about them to the kid. ] Origami?

[ Whisper whisper! ]

Oh, Helios! Um...I wanna try a few things on it? And some no-exploding stuff too. It's to do with energy and my pokémon.

We'll be really careful if you're worried!

[Ginia doesn't hear Red coming but rather senses someone approaching. Prickling on the back of her neck, a slight bit of tension, she casually glances up from her holding and slips on a smile when she sees Red and Pikachu. She nods him at he greets her, holding out a hand to gesture at a nearby chair. Underneath the table, Laika stirs slightly, her tail wags, but otherwise remains asleep.

She pauses to grab her phone, turning the volume down a little. With how quiet it is in the library even the slightest bit of sounds feels like it'll shatter the peace.]

Origami. I'm making paper cranes. Have you heard the legend of a thousand cranes?

[ He's got a special flower with him all the time, Vash!!

He was only looking at the flowers to distract himself admittedly, and at the voice he turns from them entirely. ] Oh, no!

[ But, if this guy's asking, then- ] Do you work here?

Oh no! I-I'm not too terribly worried. I can always put up a barrier if it gets too, ah, dangerous. But it sound like it will. [ Red is responsible enough he thinks. ]

But if I can help then I'll definitely lend a hand. I'm quite curious to see what it is you're testing.

It won't! Just wet? I think... but we can talk about it more! Are you free right now? I got a room at the battle dome.

[ He takes the seat offered, lowering the bag he carries as quietly as he can. Not difficult. The message gets read when it's presented to him and Red shakes his head after a couple of seconds. Was she going to tell him about it? ]

[Yes, yes she will. Type type type.]

It's a legend in two parts. The base legend is if you fold a thousand paper cranes, you'll be granted a wish. Or blessed with good luck, depends on the story. It's a crane because in Japanese culture, a crane is seen as a holy or mythical creature and can live for a thousand years. That's why you fold a thousand, one for each year.

[Ginia peers at her middling pile of cranes in the box.]

I have a long way to go.

[ Quiet time? Who ever needs quiet peaceful time?? With Xzana being quiet herself, that leaves the sound of some far away animals and, as soft or small as it might be, the more nearer sounds of the water she churns with whatever sorcery she's using. It catches Pikachu's ears and makes the mouse lean out his head and flicker his ears, though he doesn't know if there's coming up to a lake, but - no, he can't smell a bed of water. Can't be that. Huh.

There's a small ball of light that Red had been messing with still hovering over his palm, but he thinks twice about throwing it carelessly. Could just be a wild animal, right? But the two try to step quietly as they look for the source, peeeeking a head (and Red keeping the ball behind the tree). Red can only be as silent as he knows to be, and so the ground under him still makes noise under his shoes, if Xzana's listening at all. ]

[ Was there a legend in his world like that? But all he knew about were the few about pokémon, or this and that which he'd heard but never really absorb. He knew about Johto's birds, Kanto's birds... but they were less legends and real life.

Did people really make a thousand paper cranes for a wish or good luck? Ginia was going to do that?

Huh.

Red considers speaking by voice, but he holds his tongue and only makes a breathy sound, reaching down to his bag instead to rustle inside - hi there Laika - and taking out his journal and pencil. You know what, he's just going to use this. He doesn't have to submit any of what he writes so easy stuff. ]

Won't it take forever? Do you believe in legends like that?

[Ginia leans slightly to see what he writes, reading as quickly as she writes. The first part of the question is easy - with two months to work, she only needs to make fifteen a day to stay on target. Granted, most people made it over the span of a year, but there were special dates coming up.

As for the second part of the question...]

Not that long. As long as I make a few everyday, I'll be able to finish. As for believing in legends, I don't know. I used think there were no such things as gods, but now I'm in a village with them. Maybe every legend comes from a point of truth.

[ Red makes sure to turn the book around to face her when he's written down what he wants to say! As for what Ginia gives back to him, that makes sense - Luceti really put a change on everything to what a person knew?

And reading the part about gods makes the boy smile to himself. ]

Do you want a wish or really good luck? [ ... Oh, let's add on some more before turning it to Ginia. ] Can another person help? I tried making them at school but I messed them up. I think I made 2 that didn't look funny
but origami is cool [ ... ] and a thousand is a lot alone

[ Of course, Blue likely thought differently. ]

[Traditionally, one person was supposed to make all the cranes for the wish to hold, but Ginia couldn't hold to tradition when she didn't even know what she wanted. It was a project, a way to stay busy. And really, how could she say no to Red?]

Sure. Grab a piece of paper, I'll show you how to fold one.

[ And that smile grows! Pikachu's hopped onto the table with a thump to watch on a space that isn't busy with stuff on it, and Red does as he's told and grabs a paper. If Ginia's going to show him what to do by example, he's ready!!

They've got no rush to be anywhere! ]

[Ginia patiently goes through each step, showing by example, stopping or repeating a fold if there's any confusion. It's not the easiest thing to fold, but there's plenty of time to learn.

As she teaches Red, she remembers Shinohara teaching her how to fold origami cranes, then her teaching Natalie in turn. And even knowing it was pointless to wonder, she muses on how they're doing. Was Shinohara still chief of security? How was Natalie doing in Taiwan?

Her smile fades and her expression hangs in contemplative sadness as she tugs the wings on a newly formed paper crane.]

[ That's the thing about school. It's a teacher trying to teach a group of people than just one on one, going through the instructions and the leaving the children with the written instructions to follow if they get lost, but forgetting everything that was showing because you're too excited or hasty to get to the end was... a common conclusion.

It was like that for everyone, wasn't it? Wasn't it?

But Red follows as closely as he can, getting stuck on some parts but having Ginia's help to get through it. He does catch her changed expression, but to Red it looks like concentration.

A completed crane sits on the table, and Red stares at it with a childish smile on his lips for a good moment. He then pokes it with a finger over to Pikachu, who pokes it to turn this way and that with a nail. ]

It's a crane. [ Whisper whisper! He sits a finger close to it, an idea that forms in his head. ]

D'you think you could hide messages in them? [ He's forgotten about the writing idea for now, using a low voice. ]

[Getting caught in the past, forgetting to move on in the present, getting left behind by the future. It was the same problem. But when Red finishes the crane, Ginia focuses back on the now and smiles approvingly. At his question, she nods, adding her crane to the basket before picking up her phone.]

You could if you wrote on one side of the paper and made sure to fold it inside.

[What's this? There's other pokemons in the forest? Red and his friends aren't the only ones taking a breeze around here. The curious pink cat-like pokemon is hovering behind the bushes and branches. If someone or some pokemon gets the feeling they're being followed, well... it might be behind somewhere.]

[ Indeed they do get the feeling they're being followed! Or that there's someone there, and the one noticing this is Pikachu. With Red crouched on the floor in front of Venusaur, focusing on a little something with his grass-slash-poison type, the mouse pokémon decides to check it out - no, nothing's wrong Red, just gonna have a hop around!

So let's do that hopping into a tree and see if we're imagining things or not. Pikachu doesn't want a certain shady guy to be watching them...!! ]
