[ When the video turns on in the very early morning, there's only half a face present before it comes up fully onto the screen. The boy is practically beaming at the journal, and there's only a second before-- ]

Ivysaur evolved!

[ Yes. He couldn't keep that excitement in. He's still got a really dumb smile on and he has to remember what he was going to say, a pause there before he continues. ]

If you don't know what an ivysaur is, they're a grass and poison type pokémon! Ivysaur's been with me since she was a bulbasaur and now she's huge! She's big! She's nearly as big as Snorlax is!

[ The camera faces down to a dusty ground, then comes back up. ] I'm going to show you her, okay? [ And then the book flips around, showing a large, blueish-greenish toad-skin looking monster with a flower protruding from her back from the front, standing at 6'10 (for those who can tell). She leans her head to the side, her mouth opening slightly and showing her fangs as she grunts a small sound. She's embarrassed by the fuss, but the yellow rodent at her feet displays her with his arms proudly out towards her. Pika! (Check her out!)

(Also from the background, some might be able to tell that they're at the farm. Why are they at the farm so early? Because.) ]

Isn't she cool? She is! --oh, hey, Snorlax! Stand next to her and show everyone how big she is next to you!

[ The recording swings over to show a very fat panda creature sitting down eating a pile of bread. He continues eating, and as Red begs again ("C'mon, Snooorlax!"), the creature proceeds to noisily shuffle his butt to face the opposite direction. Noopppee. ] Snor! You...!

[ Huff! He faces the screen back to himself finally, making a puffed face but not so seriously. ] Forget about him! Saur's amazing and that's all that matters!

[ And then one last smile! ]

[Ginia stops to think about that. It's hard picking out the remarkable things of her world when she's seen so many of the problems in the world, even contributed to the darkness. And when compared against worlds with dragons and magic and all sorts of amazing people and things, it's hard.

But. This is her Earth and it was her home for 37 years.]

It's truly a beautiful world. Beautiful rain forests with hidden waterfalls, deserts with sand as far as the eye can see and rocky plateaus, lush forests filled with wildlife, deep oceans still so unexplored, there's so much to see.

That sounds so cool! What's a rainforest? It doesn't rain all the time there does it? There's a forest near where I live. •‿• It's by the city up from my town. Do you have small animals or big animals in your forests? We have animals called bugs in ours. Pikachu live in them too. And then you have trees that try and block out the sun but then you find patches where the light comes through and the strong smell of grass. I like that. When I was younger I didn't care about nature or pokémon. I liked to stay inside and play video games. Did you always want to travel?

Not all the time, but pretty close to. But because of all the rain, it's very lush and green.

Animals of all shapes and sizes from small bugs to animals like bears or deer. The ocean has even larger animals like whales.

I did. I never did too much when I was younger. Sometimes my family would take a trip to the beach or the larger city, but there wasn't much opportunity to travel. Too much time and money. But I found the means when I was older.

What does a whale look like? Is it bigger than my Snorlax? (Snorlax was the one eating in my video) I didn't leave home much either when I was younger. We didn't need to travel but we went to the city once or twice. What did you do when you were a kid? I became a trainer and left home but not every kid does, some stay with their family.

A whale looks similar to a fish in that it has fins and a tail, but it also breathes air. They are very large, much larger than Snorlax. Quite long too. I'll look for a picture of one.

I used to be a dancer. Also played the piano and helped my family with their bar. Do most trainers start as kids?

We have fish too! It sounds like Silver's pokémon. I've never seen his whole body but he's really long and blue. I tried to draw him from my head but it didn't work. They do, but you don't have to be a kid to be a trainer. I've met lots of old people who are trainers too. But you can get your license when you're 10. Here's what one of our fish looks like. It's called a goldeen but I haven't seen one for ages so it's probably wrong in places. They're pretty, they remind me of women with make up on because they have small pink lips and pink eyelids. It sounds weird but it makes sense when you see one.

[As Ginia waits for a response, she begins searching through her books for a picture of a whale. Once she finds one, she'll put it in front of the camera so it's visible.]

That's a drawing of a whale. They come in many different shapes and sizes, but that's what one species looks like.

[Ten is surprisingly young, but with the age of training for other kids from other worlds, the age some kids get forced into the military in her world, it's not too bad.

The idea of pink lips and eyelids on a fish is a weird idea, but Ginia gets the idea.]

There's fish in my world called goldfish. They're usually goldish-orange and white, but they can come in a variety of colors too. A goldeen reminds me of those kinds of fish.

[ WOAH LOOK AT THAT. ]

That's so cool!! I want to meet one! Are they friendly or angry? Have you met one before? That's the colour of goldeen too! If I find my pokédex I can show you a proper picture of them too. It's a digital book that collects information on all the pokémon. Some people have them here but I still can't find mine. In my world we have pokémon that look like cats and dogs too. Our cats can stand on two legs until it evolves. They like to collect shiny objects (or mine does) Does your world have cats and dogs?

I've seen them at a distance only, but they do seem to be friendly and gentle.

I've seen someone else with one. If I see one show up in the store, I can let you know.

There are dogs and cats in my world too. Actually, my dog is here right now, give me a moment.

[The journal switches over to video as the book shows a happy dog dog sprawled out comfortably on the ground. Ginia's hand moves into view to pat Laika's side, dog tail wagging happily.]

[ Oh no, look at that doggy. Look at them. Red takes a moment to respond because he's happy to just watch the video, laughing and showing Pikachu on his end. ]

What's their name? Have you been together long? They look soft to touch! They look like they're enjoying a lazy day in. •‿•

Her name is Laika and she's very soft. I've had her a for a few years now, raised her from a puppy.

She definitely enjoying herself. She's a good dog.

What's she like? I haven't had Saur for years but she was my first pokémon. She's very nice. She helps me take care of everyone and takes care of me too. She's like family to me. I wouldn't want to ever be without her. I'm glad you got to have Laika with you too.

Laika is friendly, loves being pet and sleeping in the sun. She's a smart dog too and I'm glad she's here.

I'm glad you have your pokemon too.

She sounds like Saur. She likes sleeping in the sun because she feeds on it. Snorlax likes sleeping in the sun too, but he just likes sleeping. Snorlax are known for eating and sleeping and being really hard to budge.

I bet they would get along. Nap buddies.

He certainly looks like someone that wouldn't be easy to move once he's settled down. He also looks big enough to nap on top of too.

They can meet sometime if you like. Snor is a grumps but Pikachu and Saur both like meeting new people. He is!! He can be a big pain about it. I have a flute that can wake him up but I lost it so I can't so I have to use food if I really want to wake him. It's easier now because I have his pokéball so I can just stick him in that but I think he loves being annoying. Grrr!!! o(-`д´- ｡) Sleeping on him would be cool. He's really soft! I'd sleep on him but I don't think he would like it.
