Timeline

- Received Bulbasaur from Prof. Oak. Battles rival.
- Went through Route 1, spoke to PokeMart employee, goes to the PokeMart and picks up the parcel for Prof. Oak and returns back to Pallet Town.
- Receives Pokedex and 5 Pokeballs. 'Capture all the Pokemon' OK!!
- Oh except don't learn how to catch Pokemon until the coffee-drunk man in Viridian City.
- Captures Mankey and Rattata on Route 22. Battles rival. Captures Pidgey on Route 2.
- Goes through Viridian Forest. Captures Weedle , Caterpie, and Pikachu. Caterpie and Weedle both evolve into Kakuna and Metapod rather quickly.
- PEWTER CITY. Visits the museum, goes to the gym. Battles Brock and gets the BOULDER BADGE.

- Route 3, captures Jigglypuff. Kakuna and Metapod evolve into Beedrill and Butterfree.
- Mt. Moon, captures Geodude, Zubat, Paras, Clefairy. Bulbasaur evolves into Ivysaur. Receives Dome Fossil. Woah Team Rocket??
- Route 4, buys Magikarp dummy. Captures Sandshrew.
- Cerulean City, heeey. Takes on Misty, receives CASCADE BADGE.

- Route 24, 25. Takes on rival. Captures Abra and Bellsprout. Pidge evolves into a Pidgeotto, Ratty evolves into Raticate. Receives a Charmander from a trainer.
- Meets Bill! Helps Bill! Gets a ticket for the cruise ship St. Anne! Wow!!
- Meets a girl who wants to trade a Nido for a Nido (Mr. Nido). OK!! Thus begins a wonderful world of trading.
- Vermillion City! Captures Ekans, Diglett, Spearow, and Meowth. Trades an Abra for a Mr. Mime (Mimien), a Spearow for a Farfetch'd (Ch'ding,). Evolves Mr. Nido into Nidorino, Sandshrew into Sandslash, Geodude into a Graveler.
- He spends a long time in Vermillion City, okay. He also goes onto the St. Anne cruise, meets and battles rival and helps a seasick old captain.
- And then he finally takes on the Vermillion Gym Leader.

- Really starting to learn about type differences, guys.
- Oh yeah, he got a bike voucher and an old rod. Got nothing but Magikarp. He paid for one already, okay. :(
- Also received a mischievous Squirtle after getting the Thunder Badge.

- Goes back to Cerulean City, gets a bike, decides to go through the cave to Lavender Town.
- Huh, something weird is going on here? Funny business is happening at the tower?
- Oh, it's Blue.
- Oh, it'--G-G-G-GHOSTS.
- Can't do anything here, need a 'Silph Scopes'?? let's go to Celadon City instead. Wait, what's with all these Team Rocket guys here?
- ...??? Something about a button and a poster??
- There's a button behind the poster?! Let's push it! woah, underground hideout! Let's infiltrate it!!
- !!TEAM ROCKET BOSS!! Beat him! Got the Silph Scope! Gym will have to wait, it's time to save some guy in Lavender Town!
- Put to rest the ghost in Lavender Town's tower, save Mt. Fuji and receive the PokéFlute.
- Go back to Celadon City, take on the grass-gym! Charmander evolves into Charmeleon!

- Hey, what's this Pokémon blocking the road? It's Snorlax! Wakes up Snorlax and captures him, then takes the bicycle route down to Fuschia City.
