Take a single poison type Pokemon, and it probably has an array of poison based abilities. A single mage that's primary element is corrosive, has an array of corrosive based spells. Throw in another poison Pokemon or corrosive mage, the first will probably have different abilities compared to the second one, though with a chance that they both know at least one similar ability.
