Red from Pallet Town, Kanto, a young boy who leaves home to become a travelling Pokémon Trainer. Gifted an encyclopaedia device called a 'Pokédex' by inventor Professor Oak, he journeys to fulfil Professor Oak's wish and also his own to be a great trainer. He takes on Gym Leaders for their badges, proof of his skills as a trainer that will allow him the chance to take on the most elite trainers, the Elite Four and Kanto's Champion trainer. His adventure isn't much different from any other serious travelling trainer, except for the times he clashes with the villainous organisation known as Team Rocket. He takes them on, going as far as to break into one of their hideouts and meeting with the group's head boss.
